Passive electronics
We have designed our basses so they produce the desired tone in passive mode. For this reason we offer this as our standard feature. Although passive, with the 3-way selector switch for each pick-up the possibilities are endless.
Underneath you can see the passive electronics layout.
The passive electronics have the familiar Volume-blend-tone layout. In addition, each pick-up has a selector switch with three usable sounds. Together you can switch both pick-ups between 9 different sounds, add the blend and the tone knob and the possibilities are endless.
1: Volume
2: Blend between neck and bridge pick-up

Glockenklang electronics
We offer the Glockenklang 3-way onboard preamp as an option. The reason we use The Glock is because it is incredibly quiet and delivers the true passive sound; you can hear no difference between active and passive mode, with the preamp set flat.
This preamp can be run both passive and active. The active mode adds a treble - mid - bass cut/boost option. A nice feature is that the treble pot functions as a vintage tone (treble cut) in the passive mode. The Glock is a very natural, mellow sounding preamp.

Noll electronics
We offer the Noll 3-way custom designed onboard preamp as an option. Again we have chosen this preamp because it does not color the passive sound when set flat. The frequencies for the Bass, mid and treble have been chosen very carefully for a natural sound. Compared to the Glock this preamp is bit more aggressive and hi-fi.
This preamp can also be run both passive and active. The active mode adds a treble - mid - bass cut/boost option. the Treble frequency is different compared to the Glock producing a more modern glassy/aggressive sound when the treble is turned up.
